Thocky Dungeons
The mod that powers dungeon content on Mythic Dungeons.
Thocky Dungeons is a Hytale server plugin for creating and managing dungeon worlds. On Mythic Dungeons, it’s what lets you enter dungeons, open chests with tiered loot, fight mobs that spawn near chests, break pots for drops, and return safely when you’re done. Players can create private dungeons, enter them to play, or edit them in Creative mode. Dungeons support spawn points, return-to-origin, instanced chest loot, proximity-based mob spawning at chests, pot breaking with loot and respawn, configurable limits, and more.

Instanced chest loot
Chests, pots, boxes, crates, and barrels each have a loot tier—from pots and boxes up to legendary. When you open a container while playing a dungeon, you get your own loot for that container. Your loot is separate from other players’; everyone gets their own roll. The tier (e.g. normal, high roll, legendary) decides what kind of items can drop. You can see what’s in each tier in the loot tables below.
Chest spawners (mobs)
When you get within 8 blocks of a chest or similar container, the dungeon can spawn mobs—you don’t have to open the chest. Pots don’t spawn mobs; regular chests and better ones do.
- Regular chests: 1–3 mobs.
- High-roll chests: 1–5 mobs.
- Legendary chests: 3–5 minions first, then 1 boss.
Goblin and Trork chests spawn only goblins or only trorks. If there are already three or more of those mobs near the chest, no new ones spawn. Mobs appear on the ground near the chest, not on the chest itself.
Pots: break, loot, and respawn
In dungeons, only pots can be broken; everything else is protected. Break a pot and it drops loot (the same kind of loot as pots and boxes). The pot respawns after 30 seconds in the same spot so others can get loot too.
Vampire Fangs weapon
The Vampire Fangs weapon gives you life steal: you heal for 10–25% of the damage you deal. The more signature energy you have, the higher the heal (up to 25%). You can find it in dungeon loot or get it from staff.
Protection and editing
While you’re playing a dungeon (Adventure mode), you can’t break or damage blocks—except pots. That keeps the dungeon intact for everyone. When you’re editing your own dungeon (Creative mode), you can break and place blocks. To avoid accidents, you can’t drop items from your inventory while building unless you’re staff.
How it works
When you /dungeon enter or /dungeon edit a dungeon, the server remembers where you were. When you use /dungeon exit, you’re sent back to that spot with your game mode restored—even if you disconnected and came back. If you create or own a dungeon, you can use /dungeon setspawn while editing to choose where players appear when they enter. Only the dungeon owner or staff can edit a dungeon or set its spawn.
